Audiologists on Twitter and the cutest deaf, blind dog video

Phonak audiologists

Every Friday we’ll feature the most buzzed about topics relating to the “hearing loss” community. Join us on social media or check in on the Hearing Like Me forum, and find out how our community is going viral!

This week, Phonak audiologists got social, participating in a live Twitter chat called “HearingLossHour.”  Phonak audiologists Ora Buerkli and Anna Biggins joined the discussion on Wednesday, answering questions about hearing technology, giving advice on what topics to discuss with audiologists, and helping people connect with others in the hearing loss community.

Here’s the full chat transcript:

Hearing Like Me blogger, Angie Aspinall organizes the monthly chat and you can learn more about it here.

Meanwhile, the cutest thing on social media this week was probably this video of this dog in a wheelchair pulling his blind and deaf friend around. It just proves “best friends make the good times better and the hard times easier.”

We also saw another example of people getting tattoos to bring awareness to their hearing loss.

You can see more hearing aid tattoos on Phonak’s Pinterest board.
