Watch: How to decorate hearing technology with Phonak teen Mia

Phonak Teen Advisor, Mia Schartau,  is rarely seen without her hearing technology decorated.

In this video she’ll show you step-by-step how to decorate your hearing technology.

“I absolutely love decorating my hearing technology and my hearing aids,” she says. “This is my ComPilot. ComPilots are normally silver, but mine is rainbow and shiny purple.”

Mia uses different colored tapes to decorate her hearing aids. The first step she takes is to look at all the tape that she has and decide which colors match best.

Once you beginning taping, remember the following:

  1. Tape on the outside so people can actually see it
  2. Leave the battery door open so you don’t tape it shut
  3. Take off the ear hooks so you can cut the tape

Other ways to decorate your hearing aids

Mia also describes other ways to decorate hearing aids, but recommends not using nail polish, or glue, or any other permanent markings.

Another way to mix up the look of your hearing aids if you have Phonak Sky hearing aids is by changing out the hearing aid hooks to different colors.
