Recently, we were especially impressed by a video shared with us on social media, by Jacquelyn Zeman, a 21-year-old junior at Central Michigan University.
Jacquelyn has worn Phonak hearing aids since she was in kindergarten, and now, as an integrative public relations and advertising student, her experiences motivated her to do a student competition for the American Advertising Federation about Phonak.
“Many people don’t know the struggles of living with hearing loss, but for those of us that require the use of hearing aids, we know how important it is choosing the right brand,” the video begins. “That’s why I don’t use just any brand. I use Phonak.”
The 2016 West Michigan ADDYS (American Advertising Awards) submission was created by Jacquelyn, who worked as the director of art and design, editor and videographer, along with her classmate, Bonnie Greene, who wrote the voice-over and did background research. The model in the commercial and images, Hannah Cluley, has also been a faithful Phonak user for years, according to Jacquelyn.
“After going through several hearing aids throughout the years, I can honestly say I am more than satisfied with Phonak hearing aids and the additional products they offer to accompany them,” Jacquelyn said. “These factors served as a large reason behind my selection of Phonak as my customer in this competition.”
As part of their advertising objectives they also changes the slogan from “Life is On” to “Hear the Difference.” Their video was judged among other entrants at the 2016 American Advertising Awards in West Grand Rapids, Michigan last month.
Phonak is not affiliated with this project in any way, and the works and opinions of the video belong solely to Jacquelyn and her team.
