This month, we’ve chosen the book, “My Hard of Hearing Life: Stories From Behind the Hearing Aids,” by Cynthia Dixon.
“My Hard of Hearing Life” aims to “unveil the secret thoughts of a hard of hearing person as she interacts with the hearing world.”
According to her biography on Amazon.com:
“Cynthia Dixon is a native Floridian born with a hearing loss, which was finally diagnosed when she was 11 years old.
“She is a former Librarian with experience in public and academic libraries. Her recent involvement with ALDA (Association of Late-Deafened Adults) FL – Suncoast Chapter, has brought her face-to-face with many people who have similar life experiences. She has finally met her ‘tribe.’”
