Ellie, a teenager with hearing loss, shows us her favorite jewelry trend for decorating her hearing aids. These earrings for your hearing aids, also known as “hearrings” hang from the tube of the hearing aid mold as an earring would hang from an ear.
With these simple steps, you can have your own “hearrings” too!
First, pick out the type of earring or charm that you would like to convert into a “hearring.” You can use wire cutters to take off the earring backs.
After taking away the earring backs, you can use the wire cutters to open up the jump rings. This gives you the final product in a simple step!
You can slip the jump ring around the hearing aid tube and it will simply hang as an earring would, but from the tube.
You can also use earrings that already have jump rings and just remove the earring back.
Finally, you can use playing charms as hearing aid charms. The concept is the same, you just add jump rings and then place them on the hearing aid tubes.
